Pawsitive Steps The Hills 2017 - August 27

Pawsitive Steps ®” is an annual event organised by the business and volunteer groups in the Hills District of Sydney.

This year's mental health and wellbeing Expo is being held in partnership with The Hills Shire Council’s Orange Blossom Festival at Bella Vista Farm. The Hills Shire Council

estimate up to 20,000 visitors will attend the event.

This event began in October 2011 and aims to raise awareness about significant mental health issues affecting our
community. Since then, it has evolved into the highly successful “Pawsitive Steps towards Mental Health Walk” and this initiative is unique in Australia (and quite possibly the world).
You can bring your furry friend for a wonderful walk through Bella Vista Farm! There will be two walks on the day, (registration commences from 8:00 am) with the first walk at 9:00 am and a second walk held at 11:30 am. The walk will involve some fun exercise demonstrations by local fitness groups and a beautiful scenic walk in Bella Vista Farm not to mention free doggie giveaways and treats.

Positive Vibes Foundation Ltd announced last year a three-year partnership with Paddy Paws Mobile Dog Grooming Castle Hill. “Every day I see how pets provide unconditional love and friendship to their owners" said Sean Allen, the Manager and senior groomer, who is a passionate supporter of the Pawsitive Steps initiative.

You can also browse some of the many stalls promoting re-homing or offering dog products and services and other health and wellbeing related services.

Come spend the day with your best friend and help fight the stigma of mental illness!

When: Sunday 27th August 2017 (registration from 8:00am)
First walk commences at 9:00am and second walk will start from 11:30am.
