What is a blockhead labrador dog?

Answers:
The term "blockhead" simply refers to the shape of its noggin.
One who doesn't do what you tell it! Or Charlie Brown's 2nd dog - LOL!

It is actually one of the many nicknames given to a conformation-type Labrador Retriever. There are 2 different lines of Labs bred in this country: performance/field (AKA American) type which are rangy, finer boned with longer, narrower heads bred to have high energy %26 drive for use in retrieving/hunting. The conformation/Engish (AKA 'Blockhead') type are stocky, large boned with rather rectangular 'blocky' heads, bred to the AKC's standard (the written profile saying what a good example of the breed should look like) to show for conformation titles and make calmer, steadier pets.
Here is you a pic of probablly the most famous "blockheaded" Lab.
He makes it pretty easy to see where the term came from.

The name speaks for itself. There are "blockhead' boxers as well.
